Vidal Mouet (Navojoa, México) is a painter focused on the capacity of a canvas to articulate objects’ interactions with space. Pulling inspiration from the world around him, from a stack of coffee cups leaning towards the counter to the edges of an open magazine, Mouet pushes the limits of traditional painting as he asks viewers to contend with what they are witnessing and how it engages with its surroundings. His works have been exhibited in Los Angeles, New York, Georgetown and London.
