Karina Sharif is a Brooklyn-based fine artist and sculptor working in raw terracotta, structural paper pulp, and low-carbon steel. Her practice translates memory, ritual, and ideographic scripts into monumental biophilic sanctuary forms and interactive public archives. Grounded in frameworks like Luba Lukasa memory boards and Matrilineal interiority, Sharif builds tactile rival geographies centered on community resilience, articulated refuge and spatial sanctuary. She holds a BFA from Pratt Institute.
