CHUNG, Hyun explores the human form through discarded materials such as railway sleepers, metal, rubble, and coal tar. By utilizing these materials, he investigates the timeless nature of the human spirit and energy. Through minimal intervention, he maximizes their inherent qualities and stimulates discussions about time, memory, and history. Chung has held over 20 solo exhibitions, including those at the National Museum of Modern Art (Gwacheon, Korea), Nam-Seoul Museum of Art (Seoul, Korea), Kumho Museum of Art (Seoul, Korea), Kim Chong Yung Museum (Seoul, Korea), Jardin du Palais Royal (Paris, France), and Today Art Museum (Beijing, China).
