ANTON HEYBOER

Anton Heyboer was born in Sabang, Indonesia. He lived and worked in Den Ilp, The Netherlands. Without any formal background, he has exhibitited his work since the 1940’s, with various international exhibitions such as Documenta II and III and represented the Netherlands at the 1960 Venice Biennale. Solo exhibitons include: Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam (1958, -68, -75-76); van Abbe Museum, Eindhoven (1959); Galerie der Spiegel, Cologne, Germany (1960); Museum of Modern Art, New York, USA (1966, -71-72); Gemeentemuseum Den Haag, the Hague (1967); Lefebre Gallery, New York, USA (1967, -69); Galerie Alice Pauli, Lausanne, Switzerland (1967); Bonnefantenmuseum Maastricht (1974); Institut Neérlandais, Paris, France (1980).
